On Monday we visited CERN to work on Inquiry Levels 1 and 2. First of all we entered CERN, it was very exciting, because we have heard a lot about this place where many work on science is done. We visited an exposition where we could see how the particules accelerator works. After that we started the could chamber activity. We built our own particle detector using dry ice and isopropanol to make cosmic particles and natural radiation visible. For making the experiment we had to follow the safety rules specified by the S'Cool LAB team. When the experiment was created we could observe and categorize particle tracks: proton, neutron, electron, muon, positron and photon. On Monday afternoon we had the school reception. We met the principal and the swiss students have prepared a guided tour through their school.
